The short answer, so you can stop reading early if it settles it: SalesRabbit is the pick for door-to-door and home-services crews that want reps productive in days, published pricing they can budget against, and a tool built around the knock. SPOTIO is the pick for field sales organizations of five reps or more that live in their reporting, want deeper workflow customization and CRM integration, or run outside sales that is broader than residential door-knocking.
Both are good products. Both hold a 4.5-star rating on G2 as of August 2026, and teams switch in both directions. The differences are real, though, and they cluster around four things: pricing transparency, who the product is really built for, reporting depth, and what happens when your roster changes size. Here is each one, checked against both vendors' own published materials in August 2026.
The pricing difference is the biggest practical difference
SalesRabbit publishes its prices, which almost nobody in this category does. As of August 2026 its site lists the Team plan at 59 dollars per user per month billed monthly, and Pro at 75 monthly or 49 per user per month billed annually. Pro adds custom fields, map overlays, a customer locator, lead file attachments, gamification, the API, and a scheduler. Enterprise is quote-only and adds coaching, single sign-on, and custom SLAs. Paid add-ons (DataGrid AI, Digital Contracts, Mover Leads, Weather) run roughly 13 to 31 dollars per user per month each depending on billing terms. There is also a free single-user Lite tier, and a roofing-specific product, RoofLink Pro, listed at 120 per user per month.
SPOTIO does not publish pricing. Plans are shaped as B2B, B2C, and Custom, each priced per user behind a demo and a quote, and the product is built for teams of five or more field reps. That is not a criticism by itself. Quote-gated pricing is the category norm, and SPOTIO bundles an implementation manager into every plan, which per-seat self-serve products usually do not. But it changes how your evaluation goes: with SalesRabbit you can put a number in a budget before the first call, and with SPOTIO you cannot.
If you run a seasonal crew, read the contract terms harder than the headline rate on either product. Per-seat annual pricing is punishing for a roster that triples in April and shrinks in October, because you buy against peak headcount and carry the seats through the off-season. The monthly-vs-annual gap on SalesRabbit Pro (75 vs 49) is exactly that decision priced out loud.
Where SalesRabbit is stronger
- Speed to the field. The consistent theme in user reviews is that reps are working the app on day one. If your crew skews young, seasonal, or high-turnover, onboarding friction is a real cost and SalesRabbit carries less of it.
- The knock itself. Canvassing is the center of the product: territory drawing, route planning, dispositions at the door, mover data and weather overlays as add-ons. It is built around residential door-to-door first.
- Budget certainty. Published prices, a free Lite tier to trial the motion, and self-serve monthly billing if you want to avoid an annual commitment.
- Roofing. RoofLink is a dedicated roofing product with measuring, estimates, and inspection capabilities. If you are a storm or exterior contractor, that is a real vertical commitment the other side does not match.
Where SPOTIO is stronger
- Reporting and visibility. On G2 category scores as of August 2026, SPOTIO leads on data visualization (9.7 vs 8.9), map design (9.7 vs 9.3), task management, and lead prioritization. SalesRabbit takes performance dashboards. If your managers actually run the business from the reports, this is SPOTIO's home turf.
- Workflow depth. More customization in how activities, stages, and territories are structured, which matters once you are running multiple markets or a longer sales cycle than knock-pitch-close.
- AI in the base product. The DASH AI co-pilot (visit prep, voice data capture, next-best-action recommendations) ships in SPOTIO's base plans. SalesRabbit's DataGrid AI is a paid add-on.
- Enterprise posture. SOC 2, SSO, role-based permissions, and a named implementation and success manager. If IT reviews your tools before you buy them, SPOTIO arrives with the paperwork.
- Beyond the door. SPOTIO's B2B plan serves outside sales teams that are not knocking residential doors at all. SalesRabbit can stretch there, but it is a stretch.
How to actually decide
Three questions settle it for most teams:
1. How many reps, and how stable is the count? Under five reps, SPOTIO is not built for you and SalesRabbit (or even its Lite tier) is the practical answer. Five to fifteen with seasonal swing, SalesRabbit's monthly billing usually wins the arithmetic. Fifteen-plus with a steady roster and a RevOps function, SPOTIO's reporting depth starts earning its quote.
2. Who reads the data? If the answer is "the owner, on Friday, on a phone," SalesRabbit's dashboards are plenty. If the answer is "a sales ops person, daily, feeding a CRM," SPOTIO is built for that person.
3. What trade are you in? Storm and exterior contractors get a genuine roofing product on the SalesRabbit side. B2B and mixed field teams get a product actually shaped for them on the SPOTIO side. Solar, pest, security, and home services in between can be happy on either, which is why the first two questions decide it.
The question neither one answers
Whichever you pick, notice what you have bought: a system that knows where your reps went and what happened when they got there. Neither product makes a rep better at the conversation when the door opens, and neither claims to. A territory system can tell you a rep knocked 80 doors and set 2 appointments. It cannot tell you whether the problem was the streets, the opener, or freezing on the first objection.
We wrote up that gap in detail, including what each product's coaching features actually are and are not, in Does SalesRabbit or SPOTIO do sales training? The short version: their coaching is managers reading activity data. The missing layer is somewhere a rep practices out loud before a customer supplies the first hundred objections.
Disclosure: we build that missing layer, so weigh this accordingly. ColdOpen puts a rep in a live voice conversation with an AI buyer built for your business and scores the transcript. It sits alongside whichever canvassing app you choose rather than competing with either, and it prices as pooled team minutes rather than per seat, which behaves better against a seasonal roster.
